Theme Park on the Genesis is one of those games that looks simple at first—just plop down some roller coasters and watch the cash roll in, right? Nah, it's way deeper than that. You start with a patch of land and a tiny budget, and suddenly you're obsessing over trash cans, staff salaries, and whether kids are puking after riding your poorly designed coaster.

The first time I played, I blew all my money on a fancy Ferris wheel, only to realize nobody wanted to ride it because I forgot to build paths. Classic rookie mistake. The research system is weirdly addictive—you unlock new rides and upgrades, but it takes forever unless you dump cash into it. And don’t even get me started on the food pricing. Charge too much, and guests get mad; charge too little, and you’re broke by winter.

It’s got that old-school Bullfrog charm, where everything feels a little janky but in a good way. The music’s cheesy, the graphics are blocky, and somehow, you’ll still lose hours tweaking your park layout. Just pray your janitors keep up with the vomit.
