Man, this game is pure '90s chaos—just like the show. You start off as Ren or Stimpy (or both, if you've got a buddy), jumping through these ridiculous levels that feel like they were ripped straight from an episode. One minute you're dodging exploding cows, the next you're getting launched into space by a giant nose hair. Classic.
The controls are a little stiff—this is a Genesis platformer, after all—but the weirdness makes up for it. The art style nails that gross-out cartoon vibe, and some of the sound effects are burned into my brain forever (that "Happy Happy Joy Joy" level music, for one). It's not the smoothest game out there, but if you grew up watching Ren & Stimpy, it's a nostalgia trip worth taking.
Just don't expect it to hold your hand. Some of those jumps are brutal, and the bosses? Absolutely unhinged. But hey, that’s part of the charm.
