Remember those weirdly charming Sega Genesis games that didn’t get enough love? The Ottifants is one of them. You play as this goofy elephant-like creature (yeah, "Ottifant" is a thing) hopping through bright, cartoony levels that feel like a Saturday morning cartoon from the '90s.
At first, it seems like a simple platformer—jump on stuff, collect things, avoid enemies—but then you realize there’s this weirdly satisfying rhythm to it. The controls are floaty in that old-school way, so you’ll overshoot a few jumps before getting the hang of it. And the music? Pure nostalgia, with those bouncy synth tracks that stick in your head.
It’s not super hard, but some of the later levels sneak in tricky platforming bits that’ll make you mutter "oh come on" under your breath. If you’ve got a soft spot for forgotten retro gems, this one’s worth dusting off.
