Man, The Killing Game Show on Genesis is one of those games that looks flashy as hell but will absolutely wreck you if you're not careful. Right from the start, you're thrown into this neon-soaked death maze full of spinning blades, crushing pistons, and enemies that just love to ambush you from off-screen. The controls feel a little stiff at first—your guy moves like he's wearing lead boots—but once you get the rhythm down, it's weirdly satisfying to nail those jumps between buzzsaws.
What really makes it stick is how brutal but fair it is. You'll die a lot, but it's usually because you rushed in instead of watching the trap patterns. And that soundtrack? Pure late-80s synth cheese in the best way. Just don't expect to beat it in one sitting unless you've got the patience of a monk.
Still holds up if you're into punishing retro platformers with style.
