Okay, so The Addams Family on Genesis is one of those licensed games that actually gets the vibe right. You start off as Gomez, bouncing around the mansion like a hyperactive goth pinball—his little sword swipe is weirdly satisfying. Then you switch to other family members, each with their own quirks: Wednesday throws creepy dolls, Pugsley’s got this slingshot, and Fester… well, let’s just say his head comes in handy.
The levels are packed with little details—secret passages behind paintings, ghosts that just float there judging you, that kind of thing. It’s not super hard, but some jumps will make you mutter "Cara mia…" under your breath. And yeah, the music? Perfectly off-key harpsichord nonsense. If you grew up with the movies or just love janky 90s platformers, this one’s got charm for days.
Just watch out for the swamp level. Trust me.
