You control Kyle Reese, moving through a destroyed future Los Angeles. Your goal is to survive the levels and destroy Skynet's central core. The gameplay is methodical; you advance screen by screen, clearing each area of Hunter-Killer machines and endoskeletons before you can proceed. You use a limited arsenal, mainly a plasma rifle with finite ammo that forces you to pick shots carefully. The pacing is tense rather than fast, and the difficulty is unforgiving, with limited continues making every mistake costly. Playing it feels like a grim, persistent struggle against overwhelming odds.
