I remember picking up Terminator for the Sega Genesis back in 1992. It was published by Virgin Games, one of many movie tie ins from that era. On a system filled with action platformers, this one stood out simply because it was based on the first film. You control Kyle Reese through a series of side scrolling levels, moving screen by screen. Your main goal is to survive long enough to protect Sarah Connor. The pacing is relentless, with enemies and machines constantly attacking, and the difficulty is quite steep. Managing your resources while navigating the destructible environments is the core challenge. It feels like a desperate fight for survival against overwhelming odds.
