About Tel-tel Stadium
Tel-Tel Stadium was a Japan only release for the Sega Genesis, or Mega Drive, developed by Sega. It came out in 1991, a time when the console was full of experimental titles trying out new ideas. This one was their take on the puzzle genre, a category that was getting pretty crowded even back then.
You control a cursor on a grid, placing blocks to create a continuous path for a bouncing ball. The main objective is to guide the ball into the goal on each stage before your limited number of balls runs out. The core mechanics involve rotating the playfield itself to change the ball's trajectory and strategically placing different types of blocks, some of which can destroy others or change the ball's direction. The game starts simply but the stages quickly demand precise timing and foresight, making you plan several bounces ahead. It feels like a tense, spatial logic test where a single miscalculation sends your ball tumbling into the abyss.
