Man, Tecmo Super Bowl II on the Genesis was such a solid follow-up to the original. They kept that same fast, arcadey football feel but threw in updated rosters—no more playing with last year's lineup. The passing game still feels crisp, and breaking off a long run with Emmitt Smith just hits different.
First thing you'll notice? The graphics got a slight bump—players look a little less blocky, and the animations flow better when you juke a defender. Still has that classic Tecmo charm though, right down to the exaggerated diving tackles. Played a full season last weekend and got way too invested in my 49ers franchise.
If you liked the first one, this is basically more of that goodness with some polish. Just don't expect Madden-level realism—it's all about big plays and that sweet, sweet endzone celebration loop.
