Taiwan Daheng (china) (unl) Game

Taiwan Daheng is one of those weird, obscure Genesis bootlegs from China—definitely not an official release, but that’s part of the charm. It’s a side-scrolling beat ‘em up with some rough edges, but the sprites are surprisingly decent for an unlicensed cart. You’ve got your usual punch-and-kick combos, though the hit detection can feel a little off at times.
First thing you’ll notice? The music. It’s… loud. Like, "someone recorded this through a tin can" loud. But after a few minutes, it kinda grows on you in a janky, nostalgic way. The levels drag a bit, but there’s something oddly satisfying about plowing through waves of enemies with exaggerated, slightly glitchy animations.
If you’re into digging up forgotten 16-bit oddities, this one’s a fun curiosity. Just don’t expect polished gameplay.
