Alright, so TMNT – The Hyperstone Heist is basically the Genesis version of Turtles in Time, but don’t let that fool you—it’s got its own thing going on. You pick your favorite turtle (obviously Donatello, because reach matters in a brawl) and start smashing Foot Clan goons across New York rooftops and sewer tunnels. The sprites are chunky in that perfect 16-bit way, and the music? Absolute shredder (pun intended).

What I love is how chaotic it gets when you play co-op—someone always hogs the pizza power-ups, and you’ll absolutely yell at each other when Raphael’s sai accidentally hit you instead of the enemy. Shredder’s minions throw everything at you, from mousers to those annoying guys with the extendable arms, and the final showdown is pure 90s cheese in the best way. It’s short, but that just means you’ll replay it with all four brothers back-to-back. Cowabunga, indeed.
