I remember picking up Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Hyperstone Heist for the Sega Genesis back in 1992. Konami published it, and it was one of those solid side-scrolling beat 'em ups that felt right at home on the system. It came out around the same time as the Turtles in Time arcade game, but this was a distinct adventure built for the home console, offering a familiar yet separate challenge for anyone who enjoyed controlling the heroes in a half shell.

You choose one of the four turtles, each with their own signature weapon, and fight through levels filled with Foot Clan soldiers and other mutants. The main goal is to stop Shredder from using the Hyperstone to shrink Manhattan; you move from left to right, clearing screens of enemies before you can proceed. The gameplay involves a lot of jumping, using your primary attack, and performing a special spinning move that damages everyone around you but costs a sliver of health. You can also pick up enemies and throw them at others, which is especially useful when you're surrounded. The pacing is fast, and the difficulty can get pretty sharp, demanding quick reflexes to handle the constant waves of foes. It feels like a frantic, satisfying scramble from start to finish.
