About T2 - The Arcade Game (usa, Europe)
Midway released T2: The Arcade Game for the Sega Genesis in 1992, a home conversion of the popular coin-op shooter. It arrived during a period when translating arcade action to a home console was a significant challenge, and this version attempted to capture that experience without the specialized light gun cabinet.
You control a cursor on screen, methodically targeting and shooting an endless stream of Terminator endoskeletons and other mechanical threats. The main objective is simply to survive each wave, protecting key resistance personnel and yourself from destruction. The game is an on-rails shooter; your viewpoint moves automatically while you focus solely on aiming and firing. You manage a limited supply of ammunition, reloading at precise moments to avoid being overrun. The pacing is relentless, and the difficulty is unforgiving, demanding quick reflexes and accurate shots. It feels like a constant, frantic battle for survival against an unstoppable mechanical tide.
