About Surging Aura
Surging Aura came out for the Sega Genesis, or Mega Drive in some regions, back in 1995. It was developed by NexTech, a name you might recognize from other 16-bit titles. This was during that period where developers were really pushing what the hardware could do, creating deeper, more involved action RPGs beyond the typical platformers and shooters.
You control a young hero exploring a vast, interconnected world filled with towns, dungeons, and overworld maps. Your main goal is to gather the scattered pieces of a powerful artifact to prevent a looming catastrophe. The gameplay is methodical; you move screen by screen through dungeons, engaging in real-time combat with a sword and a selection of magic spells.
