Super Volleyball on the Genesis is one of those sports games that somehow nails the arcade feel while still giving you real control. You pick from a bunch of international teams—each with their own strengths—and then it’s just you, the ball, and some seriously floaty jumps. The spiking mechanics take a second to get used to, but once you figure out the timing, you’ll be slamming it down like a pro.
What I love is how chaotic it gets in two-player mode. Matches turn into these wild back-and-forth volleys where someone always ends up diving face-first into the sand. The AI isn’t a pushover either—pick Brazil or Japan, and they’ll wreck you if you’re not careful. It’s simple, fast, and way more fun than it has any right to be.
