Super Smash TV is pure, ridiculous arcade chaos—you’re basically a contestant in a dystopian game show where the prize is survival. Twin-stick shooting before twin-sticks were even a thing (you move with the D-pad, aim with the buttons). Waves of mutants, robots, and weirdos swarm you while an over-the-top announcer screams about "big prizes!" and "I love it!"
The controls take a second to click, but once they do, it’s a nonstop barrage of explosions, power-ups, and barely scraping through each room. The difficulty’s brutal—expect to die a lot—but there’s something weirdly satisfying about barely clutching a win while the crowd cheers. Also, the Sega Genesis version somehow makes everything look even chunkier and more violent.
If you miss the era of games that just threw you into the madness without apology, this one’s a time capsule.
