Super Skidmarks on the Genesis is one of those racers that feels like it shouldn’t work—the cars are tiny, the tracks are pixelated chaos, and yet somehow it’s ridiculously fun. You’ll spend the first five minutes fishtailing into walls, then suddenly it clicks: the loose, slidey handling actually makes nailing a perfect drift around a hairpin feel amazing.
What’s wild is how much personality it packs in. The tracks have these little dips and jumps that send your car bouncing, and the AI drivers aren’t just mindless drones—they’ll shove you into the dirt if you let them. And yeah, the name’s ridiculous, but after a few races, you stop snickering and start sweating over whether to take the shortcut or risk the muddy off-road section.
Still holds up if you’re into that old-school, white-knuckle racing vibe.
