Super Monaco Grand Prix on the Genesis was one of those games that made you feel like you were actually racing—well, as much as a 16-bit console could manage back then. The tracks twist and turn like the real Monaco circuit, and those tight corners will wreck you if you don’t brake just right. I remember slamming into barriers way too often at first.

The career mode hooks you fast. You start as a rookie, qualifying at the back of the grid, but if you nail a few overtakes, you might catch the eye of a better team. The AI isn’t forgiving, though—mess up a lap, and suddenly you’re fighting just to stay in the points. And yeah, the graphics were impressive for the time, especially the little details like the crowd animations and how your car actually looks banged up after a crash.

It’s not perfect—some of the later races feel brutally hard—but that’s part of the charm. You’ll either master the tracks or rage-quit trying. Still one of the best F1 games from that era.
