Super Mario Bros 2018 is basically the old-school NES game we all know, but now you can play it right in your browser—no downloads, no emulators. Jump on Goombas, grab fire flowers, and yeah, Bowser still kidnaps Peach at the end of every world. Classic stuff.

What’s cool is the level editor. At first I just messed around making impossible jumps over pits, but after a while I got weirdly into designing my own obstacle courses. You can drop in enemies, blocks, even warp pipes if you want to get fancy. It’s not as polished as Mario Maker, but for a free browser version? Way more fun than I expected.

Just don’t forget to duck on the flagpole at the end of levels—old habits die hard.
