Super Daisenryaku is one of those old-school strategy games that makes you feel like a general moving tiny tanks and planes across a grid—except it’s way deeper than it looks. At first, you’re just shuffling units around Japan, but then you realize how much planning goes into supply lines, terrain bonuses, and which factories to capture first. The AI actually puts up a fight, too.
It’s an upgraded version of the original Daisenryaku, so everything’s a bit smoother, with better graphics and more unit types. Still has that classic Sega Genesis vibe, though—expect chunky sprites and a soundtrack that sounds like a military march played on a synth. If you’re into slow-burn strategy where positioning matters more than reflexes, this one’s a solid time capsule.
