Super Battletank – War in the Gulf is one of those early '90s Sega Genesis games that makes you feel like you're actually driving a tank—if tanks handled like slightly drunk bulldozers. You start off in the desert with your M1A1 Abrams, and right away, you're dodging enemy fire while trying not to get stuck on rocks (which happens more often than you'd think).

The controls take a minute to get used to—turning the turret and moving at the same time feels awkward at first, but once you get the hang of it, blasting enemy tanks and bunkers is weirdly satisfying. The graphics are decent for the time, with explosions that actually look like explosions, not just pixelated blobs. And yeah, the difficulty spikes hard if you rush in without thinking, so picking your shots matters.

It’s not the deepest military sim out there, but if you want that classic "90s tank game" vibe, this one does the job. Just don’t expect a smooth ride the whole way through.
