About Super Baseball 2020
Super Baseball 2020 came out for the Sega Genesis in 1993, developed and published by SNK. It was part of that era when developers were experimenting with sci-fi twists on familiar sports, and this one took baseball into a future with robots and power-ups. It stood out on the Genesis for its fast, arcade-style presentation.
You control a team of human and robot players, pitching, batting, and running the bases. The main goal is to outscore your opponent, but the game changes with special abilities. Robots can jump incredibly high to catch fly balls, and you can buy power-ups between innings, like a super bat or a rocket pitch. The pacing is quick, and the difficulty can spike, especially when the computer starts landing those rocket hits. It feels like a chaotic, high-energy version of baseball where anything can happen on the field.
