Super Baseball 2020 is one of those weird, wonderful Genesis sports games where the future looks like neon robots playing baseball with jetpacks. Yeah, you read that right—some players literally hover around the bases. The pitching feels snappy, and hitting a homer with a cyborg batter just hits different (especially when the ball explodes into pixels).
It’s got that classic arcade vibe—not super deep, but the matches are quick and chaotic. The announcer sounds like he’s yelling through a tin can, and the stadiums have this gritty ‘90s sci-fi aesthetic. I still remember the first time I accidentally bunted with a robot and watched the ball ricochet off its metal face. Pure nonsense, in the best way.
If you’re into retro sports games with zero realism but tons of personality, this one’s a blast. Just don’t expect MLB The Show.
