About Style Savvy (us)
Style Savvy came out for the Nintendo DS in 2008, developed and published by Nintendo. It was part of that wave of DS games that explored everyday life and management, a different kind of experience next to all the platformers and RPGs on the system.
You take control of a young woman who inherits a small, empty clothing boutique. Your main goal is to build it into a successful store. This involves a few key tasks: you buy new inventory from fashion shows and distributors, you arrange clothing and accessories on display racks and mannequins, and you help customers by listening to their style requests and putting together complete outfits for them. The game moves at a relaxed pace, focused more on daily sales and expanding your catalog than on any urgent pressure. It feels satisfying to see a customer's happiness meter fill up when you perfectly match their desired look.
