About Strider Returns ? Journey From Darkness
Strider Returns: Journey From Darkness came out for the Sega Genesis in 1992, developed by Tiertex Design Studios. It was a time when the Genesis library was expanding with all sorts of action games, and this was one of the attempts to bring the Strider character back to consoles.
You control the ninja Strider Hiryu, moving through a series of side-scrolling stages. Your main goal is to defeat the evil Grandmaster and his mech, progressing screen by screen through different environments. You use a beam sword for close combat and a bow for attacking enemies at a distance. The game is known for its high difficulty, with tricky enemy placements and demanding platforming sections. Playing it feels like a constant, deliberate struggle against the level design.
