Strider Hiryuu on the Genesis is one of those ports that feels a little rough around the edges now, but back in the day? This was the version to play. The arcade original was a beast, and while this isn't a perfect conversion (yeah, the slowdown gets annoying when things get chaotic), it still nails that fast-paced, wall-jumping, robot-slicing action.
Honestly, the Japanese release isn't wildly different from the US/EU carts—just some minor audio tweaks. But if you're into that old-school challenge where every jump and slash counts, it holds up. Just don't expect buttery smooth performance when the screen fills up with enemies.
It's not the definitive way to play Strider these days, but for Genesis fans, it's a solid slice of retro action.
