Strider Hiryuu is one of those Genesis games that just feels fast—like, the second you press start, you're already flipping off walls and slicing robots in half with that sweet plasma sword. It's got this weird cyber-ninja vibe where you're bouncing between futuristic cities and frozen wastelands, and somehow it all works.

The controls are slick once you get the hang of them, though I won’t lie—that first boss wrecked me a few times before I figured out the timing. The game doesn’t hold your hand, but nailing a perfect run where you chain jumps and slashes without stopping? That’s the good stuff.

If you’re into old-school action games that actually make you earn your wins, this one’s still worth firing up. Just watch out for those panther things—they come out of nowhere.
