Street Smart is this weird little hybrid from SNK that never quite got the love it deserved. It's like someone took Final Fight, mashed it up with Street Fighter, and then cranked the speed up a notch. You pick one of two fighters—I always went with the judo guy—and brawl through streets, bars, and docks against waves of thugs.

The cool part? You can actually move in and out of the background, which was pretty rare for beat 'em ups back then. The controls feel a little stiff at first, but once you get the timing down, pulling off throws and counters feels surprisingly satisfying. Just don’t expect the depth of a full-on fighting game—it’s more about quick, chaotic scuffles than precise combos.

It’s got that classic SNK charm, though, with big, colorful sprites and some seriously goofy enemy designs. The music’s decent too, if a little repetitive. Not a masterpiece, but definitely fun if you’re into old-school brawlers with a twist.
