Okay, so remember those insane podracing scenes from The Phantom Menace? This is that, but crammed into a Game Boy Color cartridge. You pick a racer (I always went with Sebulba because, well, he’s a cheater, but he’s fast), then it’s just you, a bunch of desert canyons, and engines that sound like they’re about to explode.
Controls are simple—hold right to go, tap left to brake—but the tracks get wild fast. One wrong turn and you’re eating sand while some Jawa in a junk pod zooms past. The graphics are surprisingly decent for GBC, with little details like sparks flying when you scrape a wall. Not gonna lie, it’s janky in that classic handheld way, but if you ever wanted to feel like Anakin before he got all whiny about sand, this’ll do it.
Just don’t expect the N64 version—this one’s got that handheld charm where everything’s a little smaller, a little rougher, but still weirdly fun.
