Okay, so Star Wars Episode 1: Obi-Wan on Game Boy Color is basically you playing as a young, prequel-era Obi-Wan with a lightsaber that looks more like a pink crayon (thanks, GBC limitations). You jump between platforms, slash battle droids, and occasionally force-push stuff—though the controls can be a little stiff, like you’re swinging a glowstick underwater.
It’s got that classic late-90s licensed game vibe—some levels feel rushed, but others nail the Star Wars atmosphere, especially when you’re sneaking around Naboo or dueling in Theed Palace. The music’s surprisingly decent for a Game Boy title, with those familiar John Williams riffs chopped into chiptune.
Not gonna lie, it’s janky by modern standards, but if you’re into retro Star Wars games or just love the prequel era’s weird charm, it’s a fun little time capsule. Just don’t expect Jedi Knight-level depth.
