Star Wars Battlefront - Elite Squadron on the DS is basically Battlefront-lite, but honestly? It’s way more fun than it has any right to be. You jump between ground battles and space dogfights in the same mission—one minute you’re blasting stormtroopers on Hoth, the next you’re dodging TIE fighters in an X-wing. The controls take a second to get used to (that D-pad isn’t exactly ideal for shooters), but once it clicks, it’s stupidly satisfying.
Character customization is simple but solid—mix and match classes, weapons, and factions. I ended up maining a jetpack clone trooper because, well, jetpacks. The multiplayer’s where it really shines if you’ve got friends with copies, though good luck finding opponents these days. Still, for a handheld Star Wars fix, it holds up better than you’d expect.
