Alright, so Star Trek: Deep Space Nine – Crossroads of Time is one of those weird little Genesis gems that somehow slipped under the radar. You play as Sisko—yes, the Sisko—running around DS9 and beyond, solving mysteries, punching Cardassians, and occasionally jumping through time portals like some kind of Starfleet Doctor Who.
The controls take a second to get used to (why does phaser combat feel like a weird hybrid of brawler and point-and-click?), but once it clicks, it’s oddly satisfying. The pixel art nails the station’s gloomy corridors, and the soundtrack? Pure 90s synth-Trek cheese in the best way.
It’s not perfect—some puzzles are cryptic as hell, and good luck figuring out what to do next without a walkthrough—but if you’re into DS9’s vibe, it’s a fun little time capsule. Just don’t expect it to hold your hand like a holodeck program.
