Okay, so this is one of those weirdly fun SpongeBob crossovers where he teams up with other Nicktoons characters—think Jimmy Neutron, Danny Phantom, even the Fairly OddParents. The whole thing starts with this gooey villain, Globulous Maximus (yeah, the name’s ridiculous), turning everything into slime, and you’ve gotta stop him. Typical SpongeBob chaos, but with extra Nickelodeon flavor.
Gameplay’s a mix of brawling and light puzzle-solving—you switch between characters mid-fight, which keeps things from getting stale. SpongeBob’s bubble attacks are stupidly satisfying, but I ended up using Danny Phantom’s ghost powers way more than I expected. The DS touchscreen gets used for some quick minigames, nothing groundbreaking, but it breaks up the action nicely.
It’s not gonna win awards for depth, but if you ever wanted to see SpongeBob high-five Invader Zim while fighting a giant sentient pudding, well, here’s your chance.
