Man, Spider-Man & Venom: Separation Anxiety on the Genesis is such a blast from the past. You start off swinging through the city as Spidey, punching thugs and dodging bullets—classic beat 'em up stuff, but with that sweet comic book vibe. Then Venom shows up, and suddenly you're tearing through enemies with his ridiculous strength and stretchy tendrils. The two play totally different, which keeps things interesting.
The levels are packed with goons to punch, and some of the boss fights are legit tough (that first Carnage battle had me sweating). The graphics are bright and chunky in that early '90s way, and the soundtrack? Pure nostalgia. It’s not the deepest game ever, but if you just wanna smash buttons and feel like a superhero for an afternoon, this one’s got you covered. Just don’t expect the web-swinging to feel as smooth as the newer games.
