This one's a classic—Spider-Man on the Genesis, based on the 90s cartoon we all grew up with. You swing through New York just like in the show, but man, those web physics take some getting used to. At first, I kept face-planting into buildings because the controls are a little stiff, but once you get the hang of it, pulling off those mid-air flips feels pretty satisfying.
Fights are straightforward—punch, kick, web-shoot—but the real fun comes from chasing down villains like Venom and Kingpin across rooftops. The animation’s surprisingly smooth for a Genesis game, especially when Spidey does his signature poses between levels. Just don’t expect the open-world freedom of later Spider-Man games—this one’s all about tight, arcade-style action.
If you’re into retro superhero games, this one’s got that nostalgic charm with just enough challenge to keep you hooked.
