Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions on DS is one of those weird little gems where you get to play as four different versions of Spidey—classic red-and-blue, Noir, 2099, and even Ultimate with the black symbiote suit. The whole dimension-hopping thing actually works better than you'd expect on the small screen.

Each Spidey feels distinct—Noir's all about stealth takedowns in shadowy corners, while 2099 gets these slick freefall sections that make your palms sweat. The combat's simple but satisfying, especially when you start chaining moves. And yeah, the DS graphics won't blow you away, but there's charm in the way they adapted the comic book style.

It's not perfect (some of the touchscreen quick-time events feel clunky), but for a handheld Spider-Man game, it packs way more variety than most. You'll know within the first level whether it clicks for you—that Noir tutorial mission is a great mood-setter.
