About Sparkster (europe)
I first played Sparkster on the Sega Genesis back in 1994, a game Konami developed and published. It was part of that era when platformers were everywhere, and this one stood out with its particular style. It was a direct sequel to Rocket Knight Adventures, continuing the story in a familiar but refined way.
You control Sparkster, an opossum knight in a suit of armor, navigating levels screen by screen. Your main goal is to fight through robotic enemies and mechanized fortresses to save the kingdom. The signature mechanics are your rocket pack, which lets you dash through the air and bounce off walls, and your sword for close combat. The pacing is fast, and the difficulty can be sharp, especially during boss fights that demand quick reflexes.
