Classic Sonic on the Genesis—this is the one that started it all. You blast through loops, bounce off badniks, and try not to get wrecked by those annoying spike traps. The first zone’s all bright and cheery, but by the time you hit Labyrinth Zone, you’ll be sweating every underwater breath count. The music’s still killer, especially Green Hill’s theme.

Controls are simple—hold right and go fast—but good luck nailing those precise jumps when you’re rolling at full speed. And yeah, the special stages are just as disorienting as you remember. Still holds up if you’re into that old-school challenge.
