Alright, so Sonic Colours on DS is basically what happens when Sonic gets a proper boost of energy drinks—fast, colorful, and just a little chaotic. You’re blasting through these wild, candy-coated levels while Eggman’s up to his usual nonsense (this time with a creepy amusement park twist).
The real kicker? Those little alien Wisps. At first I thought they were just cute gimmicks, but nope—each one gives Sonic a different ability, like drilling underground or turning into a laser. Some levels actually force you to switch between them on the fly, which keeps the platforming from feeling too samey.
It’s not perfect—the 3D sections can feel a bit cramped on the small screen—but the speed and sheer style make up for it. If you’ve ever wanted to see Sonic run through a level that looks like a neon pinball machine, this is your game.
