Sonic 1 Alt Game

Ever wondered what Sonic 1 would feel like with a few tweaks? Sonic 1 Alt is basically the classic you know, but with some subtle changes—different enemy placements, slightly altered level layouts, and just enough surprises to make you double-take if you’ve played the original a hundred times. It’s still Green Hill Zone, but not exactly how you remember it.
At first, I didn’t even notice the differences—until I rolled into a Badnik that wasn’t supposed to be there. Some jumps feel tighter, some sections flow better, and honestly? It’s weirdly refreshing to play a version where you can’t just autopilot through the whole thing. Still has that classic Genesis speed, though.
If you’ve burned through the original too many times, this might be the excuse you need to dust off your Mega Drive.
