Slam – Shaq Vs. The Legends (unreleased) Game

Man, I wish this one actually made it to release—Slam – Shaq Vs. The Legends was supposed to be a wild one-on-one b-ball brawler for the Genesis. You pick Shaq (obviously) and go toe-to-toe with other NBA greats in these over-the-top, arcade-style matchups. The animations were clunky but kinda charming, like watching Shaq teleport into a dunk mid-air.
It’s not deep strategy—just turbo-charged button-mashing, elbows flying, and ridiculous dunks that make the backboard shake. The AI cheats sometimes (of course), but there’s something hilarious about watching pixel Shaq swat Larry Bird’s shot into the third row. If you’ve ever wanted to settle "who’s the GOAT" debates with 16-bit violence, this would’ve been your game.
Shame it got shelved—would’ve been a weird little cult classic.
