Skitchin' came out for the Sega Genesis in 1994, published by Electronic Arts. It was part of that era where developers were pushing the 16-bit hardware with fast, arcade-style games. This one stood out by taking the formula of Road Rash and putting it on rollerblades instead of motorcycles.

You control a rollerblader who hitches rides by grabbing onto cars, a move called skitching. The main goal is to win races across several stages, from city streets to mountain highways. Your primary actions are skating, latching onto vehicles for a speed boost, and punching or kicking other players to knock them over. You also have to manage your speed and avoid traffic; crashing hurts, and falling too far behind ends your race. The game moves quickly and the difficulty ramps up sharply, demanding quick reflexes to dodge cars and fight off opponents. It feels chaotic and aggressive, a constant scramble for position where a single mistake can cost you the race.
