Shura No Mon is one of those hidden gems that never made it outside Japan—which is a shame, because it’s a solid strategy RPG with a martial arts twist. You start off as this scrappy fighter trying to climb the ranks, picking moves and managing stamina like a real duel. The combat’s got this weird mix of turn-based planning and quick reflexes—mess up your timing, and even a basic punch can whiff.
What’s cool is how it leans into the manga’s vibe. The sprites are chunky but full of personality, and there’s something satisfying about watching your dude go from getting wrecked in back-alley brawls to pulling off flashy techniques. Just don’t expect a walk in the park—some of the AI opponents read your inputs like a cheating fortune teller.
If you’re into retro strategy games with a brawler’s heart, this one’s worth digging up. The translation patches floating around help, but half the fun’s in figuring out the menus through sheer stubbornness.
