Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor is one of those DS games that somehow makes turn-based combat feel fresh again. You start off in Tokyo just as everything goes to hell—literally. Demons everywhere, people panicking, and you’ve got this weird app on your phone that lets you summon them too. The first hour is chaos in the best way: figuring out which demons to recruit, who to save, and how not to get wrecked in grid-based battles.
The fusion system is addicting—you’re constantly tweaking your team, trying to get the right skills before the next fight. And the time limit? It actually matters. Miss a key event, and someone might not make it. The writing’s sharp, with choices that actually change how things play out. If you like strategy RPGs with teeth, this one’s a blast.
