You start off picking your favorite Mystery Inc. member—I went with Shaggy first because, well, snacks—and then you’re immediately thrown into some haunted carnival or creepy mansion. Classic Scooby stuff.

It’s not just running around, though. You’ll be smashing crates (why are there always crates?), solving simple puzzles, and occasionally switching characters mid-level to use their weirdly specific abilities. Velma’s got her books, Daphne can… charm people? Honestly, some of it feels a little random, but it’s fun in that cheesy, B-movie way the show always was.

Oh, and the villains? Yeah, they’re ridiculous. You’ll know who it is five minutes in, but watching Scooby freak out never gets old. If you’re into lighthearted, slightly janky DS games with a nostalgia kick, this one’s a decent way to kill an afternoon.
