Sampras Tennis '96 on the Genesis is one of those mid-90s sports games that somehow nails the feel of tennis without overcomplicating things. The J-Cart version means you get two games in one cartridge—handy if you’ve got a buddy around for doubles. Graphics are clean, with decent animation for the era, and Pete’s serve actually feels as powerful as it should. Not gonna lie, the AI can be brutal on higher difficulties, but that just makes nailing a perfect down-the-line winner even sweeter. Still holds up if you’re into that classic arcade-style tennis vibe.
