Rockman Mega World (or Mega Man: Wily Wars outside Japan) is basically a Genesis remix of the first three NES Mega Man games—but with smoother scrolling, slightly tweaked level layouts, and way better colors. The robot masters hit just as hard as you remember, though.

It’s got this weird "Wily Tower" mode tacked on where you play through remixed versions of old stages with new gimmicks. Not gonna lie, some of those later floors get brutal. Still, if you’ve ever wanted to see Mega Man 1-3 with Genesis-style chunky sprites and that crunchy FM sound chip music, this is it.

Just don’t expect the controls to feel as tight as the NES originals—there’s a tiny bit of input lag that throws off your jumps at first.
