Rock N' Roll Racing is one of those games that makes you wonder why more racers don’t let you just shoot people while drifting around corners. You pick a car, a track, and immediately start boosting over jumps and blasting opponents with missiles—all while classic rock riffs blast in the background. The Sega version’s soundtrack absolutely shreds (sorry, SNES).
It’s got that early Blizzard charm—simple to pick up, but the rubber-banding AI keeps things tense. One second you’re in first place, the next you’re eating dirt because someone dropped a mine right before the finish line. The announcer’s ridiculous voice lines never get old either. "Larry’s on fire!" still lives in my head rent-free.
If you like your racing games chaotic and loud, this is a no-brainer.
