RoboCop 3 on the Genesis is one of those classic movie tie-in brawlers—you know the type. You stomp through Detroit blasting criminals with your auto-9, occasionally hopping into a jetpack for some awkwardly floaty flying sections. The sprites are chunky, the music’s got that early ‘90s synth grit, and yeah, you’ll definitely recognize some scenes straight from the film (even if the plot’s paper-thin).
It’s not exactly deep—enemies just kind of walk at you in predictable patterns—but there’s something satisfying about plowing through waves of goons as Robo. The jetpack bits are clunky as hell, though. You’ll either love the jank or hate it. Still, if you’re into retro licensed games, it’s a decent time-waster for a lazy afternoon.
