About Road Rash (usa, Europe)
Road Rash came out for the Sega Genesis in 1991, published by Electronic Arts. It was one of those games that felt different from other racers on the system, mixing high speed with a kind of reckless brawling on two wheels.
You control a motorcycle racer competing in illegal street races. The main goal is to finish in the top three to advance to the next, faster race and earn money for better bikes. While racing, you can punch or kick nearby riders to knock them off their bikes; you can also pick up a chain or a baseball bat during the race to swing at opponents. The police sometimes join the fray, trying to knock you over and end your race. The game moves quickly, and the physics make crashes punishing and frequent. It feels chaotic and aggressive, a rush of speed where you're just as focused on fighting as you are on the racing line.
