Road Blasters on the Sega Genesis is one of those games that makes you grip the controller a little too tight. You're basically in a turbo-charged death race—your car's got machine guns, missiles, the works—and every other driver on the road wants you wrecked. The first few levels ease you in, but before long, you're swerving between oil slicks, dodging homing missiles, and praying you make it to the next fuel stop in time.
The controls are simple—gas, brake, shoot—but the chaos ramps up fast. One second you're cruising, the next you're weaving through a hail of bullets while some maniac rams you from behind. The soundtrack’s all screeching tires and engine roars, which somehow makes it even more stressful (in a good way).
It’s got that classic arcade feel where you’ll die a lot, but each run teaches you something new—like when to save missiles for the armored trucks or how to time jumps over gaps. If you’re into old-school, pedal-to-the-metal action, this one’s a blast (pun very much intended).
