Rick Dangerous Game

Rick Dangerous is this old-school platformer from '89 that totally feels like playing an Indiana Jones flick—if Indy had a habit of getting crushed by boulders and impaled on spikes every five seconds. You control this little explorer dude through temples and caves, and everything wants to kill him. Like, everything. One wrong step and you're flattened, stabbed, or dropped into a pit.
The controls are simple but weirdly specific: arrows to move, CTRL plus a direction to use items. Guns, bombs, sticks—you’ll mash them all trying to survive. And you will die. A lot. The home key’s a cheat, but good luck remembering that when you’re panicking over yet another rolling boulder. It’s brutal, but weirdly satisfying when you finally nail a section after 20 tries.
Honestly, half the fun is laughing at how unfair some traps are. Just don’t throw your keyboard.
